Il corso di orientamento organizzato dalla Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa presso San Miniato è solo uno dei quattro corsi organizzati per gli studenti del quarto anno, che si accingono ad affrontare quindi la scelta universitaria. La Scuola Normale ha come obiettivo quello di fornire agli studenti la possibilità di entrare in contatto con la realtà universitaria e di mostrare il panorama universitario nel suo complesso. L’ammissione ai corsi non è aperta a tutti: a seguito della selezione da parte del dirigente scolastico, ne segue un’altra effettuata da un equipe della Scuola Normale stessa, al fine di far accedere i ragazzi “più meritevoli”, in base ai risultati scolastici.
Sapere di essere rientrata nella rosa dei candidati scelti in tutta l’Italia, è stata una delle emozioni più forti che ho provato; ponevo grandi speranze in questo corso di orientamento perchè speravo potesse aiutarmi a capire cosa veramente volevo fare dopo il liceo;speranze che non sono state disattese, anzi.
L’organizzazione è stata impeccabile, ogni cosa era controllata ed eventuali problemi erano risolti immediatamente grazie a uno staff che ci stava vicino in ogni momento e da dei tutor, dei perfezionandi della Normale, che rappresentavano una generazione mediana tra noi e i docenti, pronti a fornirci la loro esperienza all’interno della scuola, a darci chiarimenti e delucidazioni sull’ammissione, sui test d’ingresso, sulla vita nella scuola, insomma su tutto quanto avremmo chiesto.
Le lezioni si svolgevano presso il Conservatorio di Santa Chiara, a San Miniato appunto, e i momenti passati lì sono stati tra i più belli, era lì che l’operato della Normale prendeva forma; i docenti si alternavano l’un l’altro, mostrandoci ognuno uno spaccato della propria materia di insegnamento, appassionandoci, incuriosendoci o facendoci anche escludere qualche facoltà dalla rosa di possibilità che abbiamo davanti.
San Miniato è stato questo: un confronto, un momento per crescere davvero parlando con i coetanei, con i tutor, e con i docenti; questi ultimi sempre col sorriso sulle labbra quando uno di noi gli si avvicinava per fare domande,chiedere pareri o per invitarli al tavolo a cena… eh già, perché c’era anche chi stava al tavolo con noi, e continuava a parlare, rapirci con le sue parole.
Non posso esimermi dal nominare qualche personaggio intervenuto, degno di essere ricordato: Edoardo Sanguineti, Giulio Ferroni, Giuseppe Laterza e tanti altri illustri docenti universitari.
Le mie parole,in realtà, non bastano a rivelare davvero cosa è significata la partecipazione a questo corso, posso solo aggiungere un’ultima cosa: lì ho provato emozioni fortissime, che m’hanno anche cambiato parecchio, mi hanno confuso, intristito, entusiasmato, commosso; insomma, tutto mi ha lasciato qualcosa, il luogo, le persone: non lo dimenticherò mai. E poi, oltre ad avere stretto dei legami inaspettatamente forti con tante persone, ho scoperto forse in quale facoltà iscrivermi; obiettivo raggiunto così facilmente? No, non credo; certo la Normale ha portato a termine il suo compito: fornirmi tanto materiale su cui adesso, durante questo mio ultimo anno, riflettere per capire quale sarà la mia strada.
